10 am – 12:00  Course Open for Inspection, Bib pick up
11 am Coaches Meeting
1 pm NRL Race Start, 15 second intervals
1:30 Citizen Race Start, 15 second intervals

Sunday Jan. 14  5 km Classic NRL*

1.5/3/5 km  Classic Citizen Race
U16 and older, Seniors, Masters 5 km
U14/U12 3 km
U10/U8 1.5 km

9:00 am – 9:45  Course Open for Inspection, Bib pick up
10 am USSA NRL Race– Start.  15 second Intervals
10:30 Citizen Race Start 15 second Intervals

Awards will be presented on site after the race completion

  • Distances on both Saturday and Sunday:
    • Men U18 and older:  5 km
    • Men U16:  5 km
    • Women U16 and older:  5 km
  • Start: 1 pm on Saturday; 10 am on Sunday
  • Format: 15 second interval
  • Ages: This race is open to ALL skiers U16 and older. Competitive racers have the chance to earn points and citizen racers can test their skills against the sport’s top athletes.
  • Registration:
    • U16 & up:  $25.00 per skier through Friday, January 12, 2018 5:00 PM . Online registration only.
  • Scoring: ​USSA NRL rules
  • Waxing:  HP Protocol  https://sites.google.com/site/highplainsnordic/jnq-waxing-protocol
  • Power for waxing is available at Gruner building and Tent area.  First come first served in wax areas.  Warm up loop is available for ski testing warm up/cool down.
  • Bib Pick Up/Athlete & Volunteer nourishment table located in tent at start area.
Awards:  Medals will be awarded to the top three athletes (Juniors and Seniors).
